My Story
I've always lived with one foot in music and the other in visual art. My journey began in the vibrant creative scene of the 1970s when I recorded my debut album Boo! - a collection of jazz-infused folk songs that captured the spirit of that extraordinary time. After decades of creating music and art, I was surprised and delighted when my original recordings found a new audience through their re-release in 2024 by Soul Jazz Records.
This unexpected revival has brought my music to a new generation of listeners while reconnecting me with fans who remember those early days. Now in this exciting new chapter of my life, I'm embracing it with the same passion that has fueled my art from the beginning.
My Music
My songs are intimate conversations - stories woven through jazz-influenced melodies that invite you into moments of reflection and connection. Critics have described my voice as "Britain's answer to Joni Mitchell". My performances create an atmosphere where time seems to slow down allowing us to experience something authentic together.
The re-release of my 1970s album has been a remarkable journey. "Rediscovered jewel. An abstract painting in folk-rock clothing." by Mojo. I'm now preparing for select intimate performances throughout 2025, bringing these songs to life once again alongside my new material.
My Visual Art
When I'm not making music, you'll find me in my studio translating life's quiet moments into visual form. As a figurative artist working primarily in oils and pastels, I create landscapes with narrative - each piece telling its own story. The human figure often serves as a starting point for my visual storytelling, much as it does in my songwriting.
My artistic journey began with studies in theatre design at Wimbledon College of Art, and this theatrical sensibility infuses my work with a subtle dramatic quality. I also cherish creating fast notebook impressions while traveling, capturing fleeting moments and scenes wherever I find myself.
My pieces have found homes in private collections and have been exhibited in galleries across London, Bedford, Norwich, and Germany. You'll find me at the renowned Art Fair East, where I connect with collectors and fellow artists. Each artwork carries something of my musical sensibility - a rhythm in the brush strokes, harmony in the composition, and always a story waiting to be discovered.
